PIL filed in Court to ban Pokemon Go in India as it hurts Religious Sentiments

All in one Social
Pokemon Go has been proved to be the most downloaded game in the World. However the game Pokemon Go has not been officially launched in India. But before officially launching it,the PIL has been filed to ban this Game.

Many users have downloaded the apk of Pokemon Go from the Internet but official game has yet to release in India.

It has been said that the Game Pokemon Go hurts the Religious sentiments as People are moving here and there to find the eggs on the Streets. Sometimes the eggs are virtually shown in the worship places and People are visiting the temples and churches to find the eggs, which is not a good thing.

Recently, A person from Gujarat Alay Anil Dave has filed an PIL in the Gujarat High court against the Niantic Developers of Pokemon Go over the issue that Pokemon Go is hurting religious sentiments of Hindus and Jains by showing eggs in the Worship places.

“People playing the game get their points in the form of eggs which generally appear in the places of worship of different religious groups. To find eggs in temples of Hindus and Jains is blasphemous, and therefore my client has sought ban on the game from the country,” Dave’s lawyer said.

But Security specialist and researchers at IndiaWatch has given a statement to us that:

“Such PIL are frivolous and just designed to get the person his few moments of fame. Chasing a virtual image into a temple or any other place cannot be termed desecration of the place of worship and, like many other PIL this is also going to be a waste of the valuable time of the Hon’ble Court.”

This is not the case only in India. Recently, Iran also bans Pokemon Go in their country for security reasons.

Lets see what will be the result in India.
